The Jersey Devil and the Pines
In the early 1840s, a handful of farmers began to report the death of livestock on their land. The following decades were filled with more and more sightings and reports. January 1909 was a busy month for the Jersey Devil. Several people reported finding strange hoof prints in the snow. One eyewitness fired his handgun at it without effect.
