90% of the state's peach crop was destroyed by a freeze early this spring. Last time farmers lost an entire crop was in 1955. Georgia produces only a fraction of the country's peaches, but it is the peach state. Cotton, peanuts, corn and a load of other crops actually bring in more revenue for the state.
