The Three Rs - Self Regulate, Reconnect and Repair

One exercise that I include is called the three Rs and we can think this can be something that you can use say in the context of your baby crying. The self-regulate might be splashing your face with cold water that's really soothing for our nervous system or just focusing on the breath. And then the reconnect is about reconnecting to yourself so that could start with you know you've done your breathing, perhaps putting a hand on your chest if you're feeling tired. Then the last part the import which of course is really important is the repair - coming back together with your baby hopefully in a calmer state of mind.
