The Life of Harem

Harem's assistant was called strongila, a inherited as an employee from her mother in law. They could not only run errands big and small in the public eye, but were sometimes sent all the way to foreign countries to gatherinformation. Vast networks including servants, eunuchs, their own male relatives on the outside. And quite awesomely, these intrepid employees, usually jewish women, were hired who were not subject to the same restrictions as a woman of the court to go in public.
