The Disconnected California of the 1500s

There is definitely evidence that at one time there was an inland sea in California. The ethnographic record of the West Coast Indians along the Oregon Coast and that whole area has stories that say there was a big flood. Big flood before the White Man's time, a huge tidal wave that struck the Oregon coast not too far back in time. So yeah, there's definitely a lot of indication that this could happen even with our current models.
