The Hidden Time at the Police Station

A woman calls the police to report her children missing at 1 a.m. She's told an officer will be sent out to meet her there, but he never shows up. At 1250 a.m., she drives herself to the police station and files an incident report on the spot. But that officer who took the report doesn't do anything.
