The Reformation of the Church of Scotland

Scots had a reformation parliament in 15 60. Everyone decided they were calvinists. The church of scotland established a structure around the church to bring about godly society. This consisted of court sessionso courts, built around each parish's elders and ministers. At the top of the kirk was the general assembly to which all ministers of every one of the nine thousand parishes were entitled to come. Catholicism survived to an extent, particularly among some of the nobility and in the northeast.
