Is There a Future for Distributed Systems?

When the Bitcoin paper came out like I think most people in distributed systems just didn't view it as a viable thing. HRT has a job description that honestly right now is one of the most hilarious job descriptions I've ever seen because it basically asked for someone who's an expert in DAOs and DFI  and then also knows hardware programming. DeFi are trying to put capital into fintech company but they have no other where else are they gonna get yield.
