The Social and Economic Consequences of Longevity

I hope we don't hit the longevity escape velocity soon. Our social practices need to change, let alone our economic institutions. We're at a unique moment for human history. The most pressing health challenge is to age well. Every time we age better, it's going to increase the demand for further longevity. So that's a sort of virtuous circle around aging research. To be honest, where does that end? It's going to be some battle between the limits of human biology and human ingenuity.
