The Importance of Restoring Sight

In low-income countries, children who become blind are much more likely to die within the next year. Restoring sight not only greatly helps those unable to see, it also enables them to contribute once again to their family and community. SAVA is another organization that addresses eye care with particular emphasis on protecting and restoring sight in underserved communities. Their work includes creating community-based vision centers that provide jobs as well as long-term eye care.
