The 1D and D virtual tabletop is still an alpha version. It will be at least mid to late next year before we see something in play that we can actually start using overall. If you're worried about this, if the emotion that you feel about this is one of worry, I would not worry about it. There are so many role playing games that are out there that aren't going to use virtual tabletops at all. You don't need to worry about them.
