How to Get to Advanced Level in the Language?

I've been stuck in the intermediate trap of japanese, and for a while i might have been intermediate chinese. I'm now definitely back to beginners ninis,. But, you know, i study quite a lot, but i've probably never got close to advanced. If you want to speak fluently, i would say, consume media. Just consume any kind of language. You don't have to research it and study it really hard; just consume vidios, films, books, news, v radio, songs, poems, just just try and get as much in. In my opinion, you'll never get fluent if you are just doing text books. To be off
