Carly Russell's Case Is a Hoax and Should Not Be Taken Seriously
If this turns out not to be a true story that the next woman a young woman of color goes missing it wouldn't be taken seriously. There is a website called our black girls run by journalist and activist Erica Marie Rivers which focuses on often untold stories of black girls and women who have gone missing or were found dead under very suspicious mysterious circumstances. She ends every single article the same way which is she is our sister and her life matters so regardless of what this investigation will unravel with Carly Russell I hope this just opens up a conversation of how little press coverage typically missing people of color get in the media.
