A Review of Blue Lagoon (1980)
Magazines, from people to playboy were constantly emphasizing brooke's nakedness and attributes that made her seem like an adult. The overall effect was to promote blue lagoon as a movie that allows adults to look at a 14 year old girl as a sexual being. Yet the point is consistently made with a minimum of real nudity, presumably using a double for shields and many suggestive camera angles. She was more in demand than ever as a high fashion model by magazines who featured her dressed in fits that a woman a decade her senior may have seemed a bit young for.
