How to Read Remote Files in Excel
The blog poses a great way to see just what's capable of when your files are not exactly stored in a convenient place. In some websites even today you might have a website that looks just like an index of links. Now had these been CSVs, you'd be done because you could just read remote files directly with read underscore CSV. This is where it gets tricky with Excel. You can't quite do that easily. So, Karen takes a novel trick which admittedly I use in a production setting for a much different context.
