How Do You Think About Success Addiction?
There's this tension where you talk about the book, but we're almost addicted to success. Your brain gets better and better at producing dopomin in response to a certain set of behaviors which then we start to engage in compulsively. And for success attics, these are people who have objectified themselves as successful people over many years. The man on the plain evidently never learn, which is why he was so dissatisfied with his life when the glory years were gone.
