Your body parts also use the same path to send signals back to the brain about what they are seeing or feeling or smelling. But sometimes an injury can damage the spinal cord and then the brain and the body can't communicate. And that's where b c eys come in. A computer can fill in the gap between the brain and what it's trying to move.
