The Strange Life of the Queen

I walked along Buckingham palace road next to the palace gardens. I talked about what it must be like being the queen and how our democratic monarchy works. Unfortunately a lot of this was drowned out by the sound of traffic. People sometimes suggest that it might be better to have a republic Instead, um, it might look like an old and feudal system a kind of medieval system which is based on the idea that the queen or the royal family have a special covenant with god. But if you disregard the craziness of the monarch period for the uk in general then there's no reason why we shouldn't keep ours.
