The Jewish People Are Like the Opponents of God
Rashi tells us that god is detribed as having two right hands. When the jewish people do the will of god, his left hand, so to speak, becomes like his right hand. The most righteous of the egyptians drowned like lead. The less righteous drowned like a stone,. and the totally wicked ones drowned like straw. Rashi points out that it's described a little later on that the eEgyptians drowned like Lead. And in addition, it's told that they drowned like Straw. So which one of tem was like straw? Was it like a stone, or wasit like lead? She explains that, of course, these three materials drown at different rates.
