Is There a Fundamental Concept of Emptiness?
Buddhism's doctrine of emptiness is a statement about the physical nature of stuff out there, right? That it doesn't that objects don't have essence. And again I'm arguing that the subtle role of essence in shaping perception plays a big role. If you understand why evolution made us construct essence, impose essence on things, that should undermine your confidence in your intuition that things have essence.
