" chess burster is a uniquely perverse aspect that's just there to add extra tension or extra horror," says director Dan O'bannon. "There's so many scenes you could write when the chess burster comes out, there's so many like, little things you could have", he adds. 'I don't know if they want to do this in the next movie or the t v show, but say they know it is and that he has the face hugger there.'
