The Anti-Apologeticism of the Early Church Fathers

Protestants wanted to get back to the pure gospel message in the Bible uncontaminated by pagan platonic ideas. That is the agenda and this agenda is known since sometime as anti-apologeticism. The term has to be explained because it's when you use the term apologeticism this refers to the ancient apologetic tradition of the ancient church fathers. So we know who the anti-apologetics are now. How do they first identify Western esotericism?
