The act of having an observability practice on a team is very empowering to somebody who is new to the industry. Myself, I came from a self-taught background learning to code. And when I finally found my way to observability, it made so many kind of light bulbs go off. So making sure that you have a team culture that is receptive to taking on a junior SRE is step number one.
