The Problem With Climate Change
The climate map of the Paris agreement suggests that about 80% of coal, oil and gas reserves need to stay in the ground. It's hard to say that that's a short-term measure because if you're building a coal plant or an oil refinery, you're locking in for 40 or 50 years. Paul Francis is very, very clear about what's going on here about the economic issues at stake. He says there are too many special interests who manipulate information so that their own plans will not be affected. These are the kind of issues we need to deal with when we're talking about climate change.
