How Field Investigations Are Different From Laboratory Work in Parapsychology

In a lab setting, you can run tests ver and over again under highly controlled conditions to study the phenomenon. But in a field setting like someone's house, you can't do that same kind of thing. So you're much more dependent on witnesses and what they report about their experiences. As a result, field settings where spontaneous, unpredictable phenomena are reported are not the best research setting.
