Is There a Limit to the Obligations of Any One Individual?

There are families now who are perishing under the weight of impossible responsibility. They're economically enormously vulnerable in a completely inadequate situation. The support they receive from the community is, i well, it's very little. Sometimes i wish that the doctors and administrators of these units would go home and spend a week, two days, one day, trying to care for their children. It seems to me that there has to be a continuum of responsibility between saving a child and maintaining a child and maintain the family.
