The Origins of Mythology
An archetype is just starts as an idea. This is actually really better said it starts as an experience. Once these archetypes are installed, we all have them. They're the background of consciousness. There's an accretion takes place and an archetype is born at some point down the line. Any experiences of mother will have a meaning later in life when we deal with something like the anima which can also appear as a terrible mother.
