The Importance of Cremation in Early Christian Thought

Some Christian theologians did not place as much importance on the integrity of the body. Cremation was viewed as alien and unholy by Christian rulers. Creamating a friend or family member's body is punishable by death. And I think knowing that, I would never have conceived that heart removal would be in the cards at all.
