Professor Ian Armit is chair in archaeology at the University of York. He has extensive experience conducting field work in France, Sicily, and Scotland. His current endeavor is directing the European Research Council-funded Commios Project. It applies ancient DNA and isotope analysis to Iron Age on a never-before-seen scale.
