The Voice of an Angel

John is moved by the pain and beauty of the lines, but pricked too by their blasphemous edge. He wants to call her back, but realizes he does not even know her name. When at last it is complete, John asks Andrew to read it back to him. It is like hearing someone else's voice, the voice of his own beloved, seditious angel though he has not seen her again in these many years.
