Is Unrequited Love Real Love?

There are these two distinct displays or depictions of love in our society that are so so very different but they are equally admired. I think this is what contributes to these confused feelings around reciprocation. Unrequited love comes with a lot of resentment for that other person because they can never fulfill your fantasy and we still feel anger towards them. Can that really be love can a feeling that includes so much resentment and anger and frustration does that mean that unrequited love is real love? We had a huge huge discussion about this which I think revealed like a lot of revelations about how we think about ourselves in the process.
