I've been managing much longer than that. I think my first lead role was probably 15 years ago, maybe more. And typically what happens with me is I love to code. But then sometimes I get frustrated if strategies are not getting unblocked or there's chaos in the system and my code can't do things that are good for the organization. So then I move over to management or somebody puts me in management. Sometimes like at Microsoft, they started moving me into management more reports the end of my tenure there because I was helping fix things like we were mentioning before.
