The Importance of Accepting Non-Acceptance
The Buddhist wisdom to simply accept a reality takes on a subtle meaning here of not engaging leading to mental freedom. The idea that we have to succumb to certain temptations is false at a fundamental level. By slowly building habits of attention and letting the ones you don't want extinguished, much of the internal conflict you feel over what you should be doing will go away. Applying this idea in recursively can lead to self-disciplined behavior.
