Reddit doesn't own Joe Rogan's IP because they created that. So it seems like because there wasn't a previous website, I guess I'm interpreting Reddit as having an identity crisis. But if that were the case, then you've got a business where you're harvesting intellectual property only when it's not protected. That is prohibitively impossible.
