Are We Going to Get Much Worse Than Not Preaching Gloom?

i think the greatest service older people can do right now is stoke that fire in them, encourage them to go with that instinct. And preach a belief democracy as being something worth fighting for. So when i say it's going to get much worse than not preaching gloom, i'm saying, let's be ready for what's coming, but let's not lose hope. We need to talk in terms of morality, which, by the way, is a curve ball i've just thrown in here. But i don't mean in the sense of religious morality. I'm talking about civic responsibility. And stealing somebody's say in their future and promoting authoritarianism is just objectively evil.
