The Alarm Bell
It's in the ominous rumbling of the timpani, and just turn your volume up for a moment. This rumbling comes back in the second movement in the climactic moment of the massacre. And it returns here, as the strings take the rhythm of the climax of the second movement. The people are taking the music of danger and turning it into their own. But as you can hear, this goes nowhere.
