The Role of Bishops in Celtic Christianity

The role of a bishop in Celtic Christianity was very different to the role of a bishops in Roman Christianity. The abbot had much more prominence and I wonder whether that's putting some of the other gifts like the more prophetic gifts to the fore rather than those kind of teaching pastoral gifts which tend to often to dominate churches. Yeah and just thinking today about you know our society today as it were tribes within society we're not monochrome. It is interesting Patrick is very very familiar with the Roman hierarchy structure of doing church and he's made a bishop before he goes back to Ireland.
