Hank Williams' Version of Jambellaya on the Bayou

Hank Williams recorded Jambellaya on the Bayou in June 1952. It was probably co-written with Moon Mulliken, but he wasn't given songwriting credit. Both versions have a lot of basic similarities, but they both bear the unmistakable stamp of their creators' sound to them. This is a celebration of cajun culture and its way of celebrating. There's a defiance to the song that may not be audible to modern listeners, but is definitely there.
