The Metacrice of Modernity

The Renaissance produced the dignities of modernity. But to the precise extent that they got some of the plot lines wrong, like they threw value out. The field of infinite intimacy that we participate in was precious beyond imagination. So measurement reduced value to the measurable, which was utterly tragic. And what we need to do is, just like the Renaissance was a time between worlds, it was a time where we were threatened by everything. We had to come together a thousand of us and together tell a new story of value rooted in first principles and first values.
