The Power of Putin
Putin was able to put together a coalition and you can see it when the parties that tend to do the best outside of United Russia, the Communist Party, the liberal Democrats. They basically all were under agreement that something needed to be done to put the floor underneath Russia. And so it's not that Putin is all powerful as he's presented in the Western media, but it's that he represents a majority trend in society which has many differences amongst themselves.
