The Problem With NHS Management

NHS England is a sprawling mess of pseudo responsibilities, full of senior managers without either clear purpose or any achievements to their name. Far from overbearing management, there are whole functions which could be done away with without anybody noticing. In an organization like the NHS, which has to have a high degree of political accountability, poor quality management at the centre is absolutely disastrous.
