Quasimodo is the titular hunchback. He's deaf from like ringing bells too loud because he's the bell ringer at Notre Dame and perhaps predictably he is sort of shunned by society. There are several characters of note in this story I'm gonna focus on four of them there are more than that but I think within the confines of our podcast it's best to focus on the four that drive the main storyline.
We're dipping back in the Victor Hugo well this week with his other best-known book The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Did you know that the book and the Disney movie don't end the same way?
Also on tap: road trips, games of tag, revisiting the poverty question from last week, and talking about Hugo's views on architecture vs. the printing press.
