Stephen Fray: A Top of the Heart

I really start with, with feelings. You know, I've read enough scripts and scored enough movies to know where there should be music and where there won't be music. So you know, I don't write anything until I've read the script four or five times. And only then will I actually sit down and just noodle at the piano or I'll just pick the guitar up, depending on what it is. There's a certain moment when Rocket walks towards the cages near the end of the movie that still makes me cry.
