The Importance of Lady Armana in the NHS

Mary Goode is the eldest interviewee in this collection, born in 1914. She trained as a nurse in the 1930s at Great Ormond Street in London. Was involved in development of neonatal care at St. Mary's in Manchester in 1940s. What I find incredible about this extract is her reflections on just how life-changing NHS was for patients.
