In general, the amount of cholesterol you eat has nothing to do with your APO-B level in the system. If you happen to be a hyper-absorber of cholesterol because you've got screwed up genes for neem and pixi1 like one or ABCG5G8, then more dietary cholesterol will be absorbed than ordinarily would. The last way the intestine gets rid of cholesterol, it can efflux it out to HDL particles. So HDLs are a way to get cholesterol absorbed.
