Aren't You Saying That There's Progress on Some?

i to me it's that as we've made progress we also have seen the very opposite of progress right the two things happen simultaneously i think isn't it pinker who like praises society for how radically unviolent it's like way better todayYeah yeah. The problem is that he uses the same standard to judge how violent a society is across millennia when you could argue that it's because we have made so much progress what i'm using scare quotes now but you can't see uh it makes something like the holocaust even more  horrible horrific.
