There's a lot of work on what we call expressive writing. This tends to be a very powerful intervention for folks who've experienced trauma and really are suffering from that trauma. And I imagine it might be effective for something you're currently going through, like a difficult waiting period. It kind of sucks the energy out of it in a way that makes it much less emotional and much more analytical. That stepping back seems to be really powerful.
