Prior to entering politics, you had a very successful career in the law and then in merchant banking and venture capital. I'd be fascinated to know how you managed the pivot from lawyer to venture capitalist. Were there any great books that helped you learn the trade? Some books that really helped me were Peter Teal zero to one, Ben Horowitz is the hard thing about hard things and the founders dilemma. Do you have a criteria for venture capital investments or a set of heuristics that you use say a company comes to you, just you, and you have to decide whether to invest? What sort of questions would you ask?
