The Importance of Autonomy in Education
Michael Faraday was privileged to have such a good access to books from the age of 13 being a book binder he could see any new books that came along. He became increasingly interested in science and by age 18 he was an intense exceptionally diligent and keenly committed would be scholar. The high levels of autonomy that he would have enjoyed would have been very important for him in developing as a young scientist like people at school.
