The Most Recent Decades

In the early centuries, there was kind of a dearth of material. And I'm guessing in when you're dealing with the last particularly recent decades, there must be so many artists to choose from. So we look at public art and monuments. We look at figurative painting for the present day. People like Chantal Joffee demanding that this person's life, no matter what their status is, demands to be in a giant painting similarly with Micheline Thomas or Lisa Brice. Then I end the book with a chapter called The 2020s and The New Masters. And I look at three young artists all born in the 90s - which makes me feel very old.
